The NutriBase EZ Edition runs on Windows 95, 98, XP, 2000, or NT PC's with 32 Mbytes RAM. Sorry, no Mac versions are available. (However, you can run NutriBase on a Mac if you are using a Windows Emulator like Virtual PC on your Mac.)

The NutriBase EZ Edition is designed to track and graph your body fat content as well as your body weight. This makes NutriBase ideal for use with a variety of body fat calipers, including the Accu-Measure Body Fat Caliper or the somewhat more convenient FatTrack II Digital Skinfold Calipers. Most experts believe that the most accurate way to determine your ideal body weight is by measuring your body fat content rather than your body weight.

NutriBase tracks Food Exchanges and performs a Pyramid Analysis for you. This allows you to check for "balance" in your diet. This report covers the options contained in the My Pyramid recommendations.

NutriBase will help US Army personnel track their body fat content in conformance with the AR 600-9 documentation.

NutriBase EZ Edition tracks up to 88 nutrients and nutrient factors for 33,004 food items.

A copy button allows users to copy a Food Log to another day... if you ate the same thing yesterday, why re-enter all those foods again?

NutriBase allows you to use any of 88 pre-configures Meal Plans (eating plans containing up to three meals and three snacks for four weeks). These Meal Plans include 600+ recipes and address special needs such as vegetarian, Vegan, body-building, low carb weight loss, balanced weight loss, 40-30-30 weight loss, diabetic, hypertension, and healthy heart diets.

NutriBase provides the contents of the USDA Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Standard Release 17.

NutriBase EZ Edition supports Meal Plans. NutriBase Meal Plans provide three meals and three snacks per day for four weeks. Import meal plans for balanced weight loss, low carb weight loss, diabetes, hypertension, healthy heart, vegetarian, Vegan, 40-30-30, etc. Each NutriBase Meal Plan is available at eight calorie levels. New meal plans can be downloaded and used in NutriBase EZ Edition.

NutriBase EZ Edition offers to automatically recalculate your calorie needs as you lose (or gain) weight or even daily if desired.

NutriBase EZ can forecast your future body weight based on today's activity and food intake performance.

A Progress Chart on the Main Screen show you a bar graph that indicates your percentage completion of your weight loss goal or your body fat content goal.

Average Energy Allowance table is used for calculating calorie requirements for children.

Backup recipes and all user information, including food logs, recipes, user information, etc.. You can use the Restore option to restore all of this information to another copy of the NutriBase EZ Edition running on another machine.

Display a chart showing your weight-loss (or weight-gain) trajectory and your actual weight loss... keep your actual weight below the anticipated weight loss line and you'll reach your desired weight by the desired date.

Drag-and-drop column headers in the search results to resequence the columns of data.

Drag-and-drop the foods you eat every day into the "Auto-Record" tab of your Favorites Manager. Any food in this note card is automatically added to each new day's food log for you. Search Screen provides a multi-tabbed notebook interface to let you search by Food Name, Brand Name, Favorite, or Recipe (by name or ingredient). You can also add a favorite from scratch, view the nutrient data by food category, or rank (sort) the data based on the values for any nutrient you specify.

Select nutrient data rows in the nutrient data display with a mouse click. (View all nutrient information for a selected item clicking the View Button.)

Software lets you enter your current weight, desired weight, and how much you want to lose per week. It takes this information and determines your goal date. It also determines your daily calorie allotment.

The 3-D Chart on the Main Screen shows you your planned "weight loss trajectory" and your actual body weight. If you keep your actual body weight beneath the planned trajectory, you will reach your goal by the goal date. This chart can also display your body fat content and your goal for your body fat content.

The Calendar on the Main Screen shows you a snapshot of your progress. It is color-coded to show you which days you did well on (you didn't exceed your calorie allotment for that day) and which days you didn't do so well on (you did exceed your calorie allotment for that day). Remember, if you exceed your calorie allotment for the day, you can still exercise to increase your calorie allotment. If you earn enough calories through exercise, you can still save the day. :-)

The included Glossary of Food and Cooking Terms features over 1,000 entries.

The Main Screen shows you a bar chart that indicates your calorie allotment for the day. It also show you any added calories you have earned through exercise and it shows you how many calories you have consumed so far today. The idea is to keep the "consumed calories" indicator shorter than the sum of your "daily calorie allotment" and "earned calories."

Track and graph your Food Log in terms of % of dietary goals, % of total calories, or in terms of gms, mgs, and mcg.

Use the software to assist in weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance. This can be accomplished by tracking body weight or by tracking body fat content.

View data in spreadsheet format; view food items in a single-screen view.

View a nutrient analysis for the entire day or by any meal or snack. You do this by simply clicking on the notebook tab for "All Foods," "Breakfast," "Morning Snack," etc. Analyses incorporate numbers, percentages, and charts.

System Requirements:
All versions of NutriBase require a PC running Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, or Windows Vista. 1 Gbyte of RAM or more is recommended. A minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels is required, but higher resolutions are better. No Mac versions are available but you can run NutriBase (and other Windows programs) on a Mac if you are running a Windows Emulator software package (like Virtual PC) or if you have a dual boot (Boot Camp) Mac with Windows installed.
